Who is the face behind Cloth Nappies Down Under!
I am Renee, a mum to two gorgeous little boys and twin girls.
Like most mum’s I wanted to cloth my son to save money and reduce waste. As a first-time mum, I knew very little about the world of cloth nappies and picked up some from a local market at a really low price. Once I had my son and we tried the nappies, I was so dishearten as they didn’t work, they fit poorly, he was wetting through them so fast and it wasn’t what I wanted from them. So, we went back to disposable nappies, the downside of this was my poor son seem to have ongoing rashes, his unfortunate bum was always so sore and as a first-time mum, I didn’t know why.
Fast forward 6 months and I was lucky enough to be gifted a high-quality nappy, the print was amazing and we tried again with cloth. The nappy worked so well, we ordered more of the product and couldn’t believe the difference. His nappy rash improved, his bum was no longer sore and he looked cute to boot!
The longer I clothed, the more amazing brands I found, and I fell in love with an amazing overseas brand Smart Bottoms. These were my husband’s favourite brand to use, but they were so hard to find locally.So, my supportive husband suggested “why don’t you start a business and offer the thing you love to other parents?” and this is how Cloth Nappies Down Under was born!
